“This female was purchased from Buckner and Jefferies in Kentucky in spring of 98. Emily showed this female in Wisconsin giving the Hartzell Family one of it’s most successful show years. She was Champion Heifer at the Wisconsin State Open and Junior Shows and was in the top two in all the shows she attended including the Wisconsin State Fair Open and Junior shows, NJAS, World Beef Expo and NUMEROUS County and state shows. Then this heifer was continuously complimented on her bone, length, muscle, and femininity. Today she is one of our most moderate framed females while maintaining her hip and leg structure, her femininity, her length and has added good rib and depth to her resume.” |

Out of “Beauty” and SVF Forever Russ. This was Matt and Emily’s first “Show string” venture together. Shown during Emily’s last year of Junior showing and Matt and Emily’s first year together, she was an extra special project. Shown 3rd at the MAJAC show her next outing was the Eastern Regional in MD where she was named Champion B&O heifer. She was a class winner at the Junior National and was exhibited in the top three at the Wisconsin and Iowa State Fairs and the Junior Show at the North American. This heifer’s power from the rear, thickness top to bottom, leg and hip structure were undeniable. Her length of body complimented her sleek feminine, “steer momma” format end. An attractive package put together on a good thick bone structure and a very desirable, breedable set of EPD’s. This heifer remarkably didn’t come into her one until we started breeding her and flushing her. Repeatedly accused of being a Maine by club calf breeders she has done nothing but turn heads as a cow. Maintaining her extreme stoutness, she has gotten more powerful and more attractive excentuating her femininity and profile. A full sister made a replacement . Her record is not too shabby either. She produced the 2nd top selling female at the Iowa Beef Expo in 2005 and we kept a full sister to her in our herd. There is a “Ranger G” female also in our herd that is a daughter of hers that was not going to leave the pasture and we have flushed this female repeatedly. We are very excited about what else is in store for this heifer. Look for the Appendix and cross bread embryo calves in the future! |
